We are an active and friendly club of around 160 members, based on the Fylde Coast, Lancashire. We offer a warm welcome to walkers, climbers and mountaineers of all abilities, who share our enthusiasm for the outdoors.
If you would like to find out more, please explore the rest of the website, come along to one of our meets, including winter social meets in Poulton-le-Fylde.
You can contact us here or find us on Facebook here.
The club meets regularly most weekends throughout the summer and winter months at venues around the UK and at the Club’s two huts, both of which are situated in the English Lake District.

Ahead of the return to Little Langdale for the annual FMC 'who can con the handicapper the most' Fell Race, I've been compiling all of the past results for the LL route but have a few years missing. If anybody has the info on the runners/results for the following years I can fill the gaps: 1979, 1980, 1983, 1984, 1993, 1995. I know the names of the 1st home and the fastest for most of them, just not who else ran and the actual times. ... See MoreSee Less

“YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU.”
28th February 2024 at the Old Town Hall it’s the AGM.
It’s a great opportunity to interrogate, Hassle and Heckle the committee plus free Pie and peas. What is there not to like?
But seriously folks, we do need a minimum amount of members to attend in order for the meeting to go ahead so please join in if you can, either in person of via zoom.
Grub at 7.30 and if there’s any pies left save them for throwing at the committee from 8 o’clock onwards.

Anyone interested in buying these fleece lined Montane pants with detachable braces (for men or ladies) in medium. They are in excellent condition, worn about 3 times. They cost over 100 quid. Looking for about £70. Great for mountaineering in snow, and very cold conditions. They have an ankle cuff to stop snow from gathering.
Thanks for looking

Is anyone interested in joining up for some grade 2 scrambles in the lakes and beyond? Looking to gain more knowledge as I’ve only done indoor climbing and grade 1’s up to now.
