The FMC own and maintain 2 properties within the Lake District National Park. (Google Map) Both have bunk bed style accomodation, toilet and showering facilities, large drying rooms and fully fitted and equiped kitchens with dining areas. Although pillows and blankets are provided, please bring your own sleeping bags.
Both huts are available for weekend and weekday bookings by private parties and individuals. Outside bookings are only taken on the basis of hiring the hut (total capacity) and not on a per person basis.

Little Langdale cottage was bought by the club in 1956. It has accomodation for 16 people (dorms of 10 and 6) and parking available for about 6 cars. |

Stair Cottage, situated in the Newlands Valley near Keswick was built by the FMC in 1969. The hut has accomodation for up to 21 people (dorms of 6, 7 and 8) and ample parking. |

FMC members also have the privilege of using huts belonging to Chester Mountaineering Club and the Oread Mountaineering Club. A key for their use is available from the FMC booking secretary, though beds must be booked with the appropriate club booking secretary.
